Library Basics Workshop

This workshop will cover library basics, including how to use the website and where things are located in the library. For session information please contact the Public Service Librarian.

Database Searching Workshop

This workshop will cover different strategies for searching databases and differences in databases. For session information please contact the Public Service Librarian.

Tours

You can schedule a tour of the library. A library instructor will consult with you on the content and objectives for the tour. Typically, a tour highlights:

  1. The organization of the library or the collection
  2. Service points such as reference and circulation
  3. General library or collection use policies
  4. The library catalog and other relevant finding aids

Individual Training Sessions

Library instructors can schedule an individual training session to assist you in the use of a new information resource or consult with you on the design of your library research assignments. To schedule an individual training or consultation session, please submit the individual training form or contact the Research Librarian directly.

Instruction

Faculty and Instructors are invited and encouraged to request library instruction seminars designed to acquaint students with research strategies and resources in specialized academic areas. Requests should be made at least two weeks prior to desired date. Faculty will receive confirmation by phone and/or E-mail and are expected to accompany their class to the instruction session.
