Library Basics Workshop

Database Searching Workshop

This workshop will cover different strategies for searching databases and differences in databases. For session information please contact the Public Services Librarian.

You can schedule a tour of the library. A library instructor will consult with you on the content and objectives for the tour. Typically, a tour highlights:

1. The organization of the library or the collection
2. Service points such as reference and circulation
3. General library or collection use policies
4. The library catalog and other relevant finding aids

To schedule a tour, please submit a tour request form or contact the Instruction and Reference Librarian directly.

Library instructors can schedule an individual training session to assist you in the use of a new information resource or consult with you on the design of your library research assignments. To schedule an individual training or consultation session, please submit the individual training form or contact the Instruction and Reference Librarian directly.

Faculty and Instructors are invited and encouraged to request library instruction seminars designed to acquaint students with research strategies and resources in specialized academic areas. Requests should be made at least two weeks prior to desired date. Faculty will receive confirmation by phone and/or E-mail and are expected to accompany their class to the instruction session.

Interlibrary Loan services are available for all faculty and staff patrons. This service can offer access to materials not contained within the Thomas University Library that you might need for a student or a class.
